The `quintessential` all-round Italian red, selected from the l`Aquila province of Abruzzo on the Adriatic coast. Deep purple in colour with intense aromas of blackberries and cherries with rich, robust characteristics that are typical of the region. The palate is nicely spicy with cherryish and jammy black fruit flavours, full, rich and well rounded. Smooth tannins combine with the rich fruit flavours to create a full and flavoursome finish. Serve with cold meats, salami, pizza, pastas and summer!
